While you may imagine that the waist training corset can do some magic and wipe out all your body fat, it is not. While the corset is exerting pressure on your abdomen and waist to train it, the fat bulges out from other places, like the top, bottom, or even at times at the back.
But that does not mean that the waist training corset does not work at all. It surely offers you the silhouette that you have been desiring, provided you are wearing the corset in the right way.
There are some of the eminent factors that you should know so that you can hide your bulging fat while waist training.
Choose the Right Corset
While buying a corset, most of the users focus on the size of the corset. Most users forget that choosing the right kind of corset is also very important to get the right results.
Wearing a short top over your jeans or skirt is something that many girls love to experiment with. But it would help if you did not try this when you have an extreme bulging abdomen.
Normally, many of the women go for the waspie corset even when they have a long torso only to wear the short tops comfortably. But this is one of the major mistakes that happen. When you are wearing a waspie corset with your long torso and bulging abdomen, the fat bulges out at the bottom. When you have such a body type, you will need a longline corset
Similarly, if you think that the underbust corset pushes the fat towards your bust, which makes your bust move upwards too much, you might wear a supportive bra to manage it. But there are many times when the supportive bra may also not work. In such a case, you may have to wear an overbust corset.
Experts have always mentioned that you should lace up the corset correctly so that there is no such bulging noticed either above or at the bottom of the corset. When you are lacing the corset from the top portion to the bottom, you will feel difficult to lace at the bottom, bringing down all the fat at the bottom. A similar thing happens when you lace from the bottom to the top.
The right way is to start lacing from the top and the bottom of the corset together. Both the laces from the top as well as from the bottom should meet up in the middle. This way, the maximum pressure is at the centre, and the chances of bulging at the top and the bottom of the corsets are reduced.
Many women also prefer to use two laces for the purpose. The idea is to first lace up the corset from the top to the centre with one lace. Then they again lace the corset from the bottom to the centre with the second lace. This also helps in reducing the bulging situation.
Wearing a Waist Cincher
If you have tried the above two points and find some bulging here and there, you should try out wearing a waist cincher under your corset. The waist cincher's function is to smoothen the fat and the irregularities of the abdomen and the waist. When you are wearing the corset over this waist cincher, the chances of having such fat bulges reduces down. This happens because you use two elements to apply pressure on your waist and abdomen and other areas.
If you are not comfortable with the waist cincher, you can also try out the corset liners. The liners will smoothen your body to let the corset work in a better way. Also, it will protect the corset from your sweat.
Lose Some Weight
Waist training corsets are designed to help you get into shape. But they also come up with some limitations. Though now the waist training corsets are available in plus size options too, it can get difficult for the corset to conceal your fat if you are towards the extreme side. In such a case, you need to help yourself by losing at least some weight. Of course, the corset will help you in different ways, such as by controlling your appetite. But here again, you need to take care while the corset controls your appetite; you should eat healthy stuff in place of junk.
Just wearing a waist training corset anyhow will not offer you the shape you wish to have. You also need to use some strategies that can help you hide the bulging fat that happens due to the pressure exerted on the waist area. Trying some simple hacks such as mentioned above will surely help in this.
